CARM workshop at Macquarie

Dear workshop participants,
Thank you for registering for the CARM workshop. The following is some information to assist with your preparation for next week.
Access and parking
Please find attached a map of Macquarie University. The first day is in F10A (across from the hospital) and the second two days are in E4B (nearer to the station). I have been told that parking in normal spots (marked in white; not marked as reserved) will be free as it’s mid-session break. This does not include the hospital or clinical parking, just the university car parks (F5A and F5B are your best bets).
Timings
Attached is a programme for the three days.
The first day will run from 9:30am to 4:30pm, with breaks planned for 11am, 1pm, and 3pm.
The second day will run from 9:30am to 4:30pm, with breaks planned for 11am, 1pm, and 3pm.
The third day will run from 9:30am to 12:30pm, with breaks planned for 10:45am and 12:30pm (with lunch at the end).
Requirements – days two and three
For those participating in the full three days, please bring your own data to work with on a USB (please let me know if you don’t have any), plus some headphones to use. We will be in a computer lab for these two days working on PCs, but if you want to bring a PC laptop, you are more than welcome. We are discouraging using Macs for the training just because it will slow the training down. There will be info provided on how to do this on a Mac after the workshop, so if you’re a Mac user (like me), don’t panic!
Dinner – day two
For those who have replied, we have booked at a local Mediterranean restaurant which is a 20 minute walk from where we will be on campus. I will be driving there, so if people need a lift, let me know. I am also trying to arrange the campus shuttle to get us there. I have booked us in for 6:30pm with a Set Menu (#2) (http://mediterraneanmarsfieldrestaurant.com.au/) and confirmed that vegetarians will also have an option with this. Please bring cash on the night to make it easier to manage at the end. The restaurant is also BYO if you wish.
Please let me know if you have any further queries.
Kind regards
Sarah
